It seems this country was founded on the concept of - of the people, by the people and for the people. Yet this moron we call a president (Bush) and his cabinet always find a way to circumvent the laws of this country by over-stepping the many laws created to prevent such catastrophies. This man (Bush) has trashed every decent aspect of the office he holds. So please tell me, why do we have laws in the U.S. and the citizens must abide by them, while noone else (Government) is required to do the same!

What makes a great nation is laws, not freedom. Laws that are followed by all and applied by all. Decisions are handed out blindly as well as punishment. It does not matter who perform the crime or what station they are in. That is why I get mad when Liberals want Clinton to skate by for Perjury and that is why I hate Bush. If we let one cross the line, the next guy will try to push it even further. True conservative, hate Bush for what he has done. WE need to make Bush an example like we made Clinton. That is why are country is going down the toilet. There is a growing concept that might makes right in AMerica. I keep hearing people say will he is such a great President, we should ignore his crime. I never heard anyone say that about Nixon and he did far more than CLinton did for this country.

Because the man wants to keep the people down...Just playing. The laws are set up with two primary reasons...one to keep you working your butt off so you can pay your tax bill and cost of living with little or no chance to get ahead. Next, they want you on the edge and in fear of losing your freedom so there will be no more heroes just docile consumers. I guess I wasn’t playing the MAN really wants to keep the people down.

I think the word you're looking for is USURPATION--the standard of governance in the USA anymore. Sad. And the people have been brainwashed they think everything is hunky-dory. Most don't even know where the phrase "abuses and usurpations" was first coined.

HINT: Think "National Picnic, Barbecue, and Fireworks Day"

We have laws to limit people from doing certain things.

Bush just ignores the laws because he thinks they don't apply to him. And he's done a very effective job of stacking the deck to avoid getting prosecuted for it.

Seems as they have concluded that the law only applies to "The People" and they don't consider themselves, (some politicians) to be one of the people. They think they're better than us because they're rich. Too bad they won't find out until they're dead that we will be in heaven, and they will be in hell.

Because Bush does not live by laws of the land, by the Bible he follows and his lobbyists. Goes hand in hand.

We do have laws. We used to have a law which provided stiff penalties for defaming the President. But, luckily for you jerk, they were repealed long ago.
