The easiest way is by breaking down your sets. For instance you may find that you are able to bench 150 pounds for 10 reps and 3 sets but can't seem to get past that plateau. Next time try bumping the weight up to 175 pounds. You may only be able to do 5 reps, so aim to do 6 sets. In the end you have done the same total of reps as before but you have done it with a significantly heavier weight. In a few weeks if you move back down to 150 pounds you'll find that you will be able to do maybe 12-15 reps per set. Boost the weight up to a point where you could only do 10 reps again, and then add the same amount of weight so that you can only do 5 reps again. Incrementally you will add pounds to your bench press. I have personally added 30 pounds to my bench recently using this method. Hope this helps you out!
