If you mean the US, we have a stable government, lower taxes than most, a better-than-average standard of living, more protected freedoms than many, and opportunities to change our class, status, and lifestyle. Bill Gates and Donald Trump weren't born rich. Oprah and Ellen weren't born famous and wealthy, and Whitney wasn't always on drugs. They all used their skills and created opportunities for themselves. So have many immigrants and natives to this country; that's why it's still "the land of opportunity."

Well "America" is kind of broad. Every person that lives in North, South, Central and Latin America are Americans. A good quality about the Americas is that it is so diverse.

As Lewis Black, the comedian once said, and I paraphrase, this is the only country where a guy like him could stand on stage and do what he does for a living.
We aren't free, but we have a lot of freedoms. And freedom of speech is the best.
Plus, consider this: currently, I'm sitting in my apartment with my boyfriend. We are both on our computers. We both have blankets even though we have heat because it is comfortable. He is playing the Sims. I'm here. We made lasagna for dinner. And we're discussing when to go see one of our favorite local bands.
Where else could we do this?!

America has a FEW good qualities left, but you should be my age and have lived back when it was a truly GREAT nation.
