there are literally millions of uses for polymers! these are just a few:
polyvinyl chloride (pvc)- common use in pipes for your house drain, or replacing wood as a building material
polytetrafluoroethylene (ptfe) - commenly known as teflon, it's what makes you frying pan non stick.
polycarbonate (pc) - makes shatter proof safety glasses, or any other application where you need a transparent media, but high impact resistance.
polyethylene (pe) - used in plastic bottles, containers, plastic bags and the bases of snowboards
polypropylene (pp) - food packaging, textiles, reusable plastic containers

There are natural and synthetic polymers.
Natural: cotton, silk, wool, protein hair
Syntheitic: anything made from petrochemicals
plastics, clothes, synthetic rubber, polyester, artificial human tissue, etc.
