Well since you will be staying at a house, you'll be saving a lot of money. You may have to pay a few dollars in toll fees to get to Orlando and you will be a bit for gas, but you will still be saving more money than if you stayed on Disney property. A 4 day base ticket pass for an adult (meaning that one adult can visit 1 Disney theme park each day for 4 days) is about $200 on Disney's website. A park hopper for an adult for the same amount of days is about $40 more if you want the freedom of park hopping in a single day. My husband stay on Disney property sometimes, but typically, we stay in a timeshare condo we own in Kissimmee. We spend on average anywhere between $1200 and $1400 for the two of us for an 8 day 7 night trip. This includes flights, gas, rental car, park tickets, and meals and a small souvenier for each of us (2 adults).
AAA offers amazing discounts, so if you have a membership with them, go visit your local office to see what they can do for you to save you money on your trip. Also be sure to visit Orlando's official website at http://www.orlandoinfo.com to receive a free vacation planning kit. They will send you a terrific coupon book which will also save you a lot of money. Have a great vacation!

The cheapest place I found tickets was www.mapleleaftickets.com. This site is recommended by Disney and the prices include tax. All of the other sites I was on did not include tax and that's how they got you when you got to the end to pay. I highly recommend buying the park hopper option. It gives you more freedom. We were going for 5 days and it was cheaper for us to buy 10 day tickets with NO EXPIRATION because we already plan on going back again and then can use the other 5 days 10 years down the road if we want. There are lots of options. I started planning in December and we just got back last week. Do your research and good luck- if you need any thing else just email me.

It really depends on what you are planning to do and how long you will be going.
For food: This can vary based on what and where you plan to eat. A counter-service meal runs about $10 per person for a fry and burger. Some places that are counter service have a few different things, but this is what you will find at most. Character meals are around $20 per person, depending on where you go and what meal. Table service meals really can range as well, you could eat for as little as $20 per person, but spend well over $100 a person as well.
So for food, I would estimate around $60 per person, minimum, each day. This should give you a little extra. If you want to save some money, you could bring some snacks, or eat breakfast before you go, or bring something with you that you can eat. Pop-tarts, muffins, etc. are all good. Granola, cookies, etc. are good for snacks during the day.
Unless you are looking at alcoholic drinks, you only need about $10 for drinks each day.
Also, since you are staying offsite, I'm not sure what you will be using for transportation. A car rental will very based on what you will be getting and how long you will acutally be using, also, if you show around you can usually find pretty good deals. I would say $200 to $300 for the rental car. Of course, don't forget that you will need to pay to park at the theme parks since you won't be staying onsite. It is $10 a day to park (I'm not sure if that has gone up recently, but I believe it is still the same)
Theme park tickets will vary based on what you are acutally looking to do. With Disney you have the different lenghts you can get, as well as the hopper option (a great option to have, but if you want to save money, it is definitely worth considering whether or not you need this. It does take some time away from your park time to get from one park to the next, you will get a lot more done if you stay in the same park each day) and the water park and more option (a great deal if you plan to visit any of the places included. Just visiting the water parks and/or Disney Quest twice pays for this add on), each adding on to the cost of your ticket. It will also depend on the age of the child since children 10 and up go at an adult rate. Just be sure to price out several options to see what the difference in cost will be, Disney lowers the cost per day based on the length of the ticket.
Souvenirs will really depend on what you like and what you plan to buy. I've gone where I spent less than $100 on souvenirs, and on trips where I won't even mention how much I spent (usually when I went with my sister)
Well, other than that, I think this will be most of your costs. Food and tickets are the most expensive , but if you don't eat much, and/or don't really want to do a lot of fine dining, you should be able to get by with less.
I've included some links for you to get a better idea of how much you will spend. The one has ticket prices, one has basic restaurant info and basic prices and one offers menus for the restaurants.
Have a great time!

I have been going to Disney World for 22 years, and let me tell you it is expensive. I have family members that are Cast Members so we get into the parks for free, but they (tickets) can be quite expensive depending on what type of ticket you buy (Park Hopper, how many days etc...). Another thing that racks up your spending money is the food! My husband and I went there on our honeymoon, and one day, in the Magic Kingdom, lunch for the two of us (2 burgers and fries and 2 drinks) was like $30. So my advice to youis to either bring food with you, eat before you go, or be prepared to spend $$$! Hope that helps!

Tickets for one week for two adults and one child cost $593.00 total. If you want to add the park hopper addition which I would recommend it will cost $712.00! Yes, very expensive. After the theme park tickets, you will need to take food into consideration. I would say allow each of you $45.00-60.00 a day! A lot. For all meals and etc.. Have fun! Hope this helps and gives you perspective.
