Indy Rock Bands?
Well the first thing that comes to mind is "DEATH FROM ABOVE 1979". They recently split up but they are definetely a legendary band. Distorted Bass, Drums, Vox, and the occasional synth and bell.
Go to their myspace to check out a few of their songs:
http://www.myspace.com/deathfromabove1979

Another band to keep in mind would be MARIANAS TRENCH

Another really good Canadian Rock Band who has an indy label

www.myspace.com/marianastrench

Hope I helped!

You should check out the band that my cousin is touring with. They're called the Swellers, I know that it's a really weird name but they'r really good. Also everybody else should check them out too. I'm pretty much a living advertisement. lol.
