I go through it every year in the summer. One week in august, i'm stuck in a 4-room log cabin by a lake with my family of 7.
Even though i'm sort of obsessed with computers and doing computer-related activities (photoshop, making websites, watching youtube, searhing random things on google...), I actually didn't really care all that much.
I got back in tune with nature. It makes me feel like a kid again. Climbing trees, fishing, walks in the woods, watching the moon rise, the meteor shower, roasting marshmallows, hanging out with my cousin, swimming, seeing my family, it's actually pretty fun to get away from the computer for awhile. I wouldn't mind if I did it a bit more often than once a year.

I'd live. It's just a computer, after all, and I've got a real life too. :) I've went 2 weeks last summer without it; kind of weird, but really after a few days I didn't even miss it. Until, of course, I got 130 emails, 25 of which were spam.

I take several vacations every year and I never look at the computer once I am on my way to the airport. My mail box is always jam packed when I get home, but it it's worth it to be with out electronics for a week or more!

I was a bit lost when mine went to the shop when it crashed. The kid did a poor
job of it and when I told our friend at the Source, he told me to bring him my
computer. They fixed it right. Well, it was the strangest thing for a week no computer. I really depend on it because I have arthritis and Dystonia which makes it hard to write. I missed keeping contact with my family and friends.
Do you think I'm addicted??? My husband says so. : }

Our teacher offered extra credit for one whole week w/out computer, tv, video games, etc.
I tried it and i found out that it actually gives you a lot more time on your hands and life seems so much easier because i usually procrastinate because of computer, so i got to do more studying done also.
I suggest you try it sometime, see what its like.
