I was sick on Sunday, and I guess I'm still getting over the cold, but my nose is stuffed, sometimes only on one side, but usually on two (for the last 2 days). It also just decides at random times to have very thin boogers that just drip out of my nose. I do have allergies, but in the past no alergy medications worked for me. I was wondering if a decongestant would make my nose run more? How else can I get rid of this?

I have the same problem in the spring. I use Breathe right nasal strips to open my nose as well as to stop my snoring. U only wear the strips for 12 hrs @ a time. I also use a store brand decongestant like Pathadryl, wal-mart I use what ever is on sale or under a whatever $ I have on me. I also use shower soothers from sudafed. U can also try echanasia (herbal supplement used to boost the immune system). When I know that allergy season is coming I take an echanasia capsule for a few days or when I feel like I'm getting a cold. I hope this helps!!

A decongestant will help to dry you up, while an antihistamine will help control the runny nose. Try a combo med, possibly like claritin D OTC. You can also try the vicks vapo rub to help with the stuffiness.
