Animal Crossing: Wild World Plant help?

ive tried to get rid of that BIG plant in my town. The one that is really big and red? not a flower but looks like one? ho do you get rid of it? i really wanna know! thanks!

You have to pick all the weeds in your town.

Spray the leaves and root base with weed and grass killer but watch out for over spray and you only have to hit about 20% of the leaves. Good luck...
