Well; I'm me, and I haven't met you yet, but I assume you are you. I do know that you are not me, and I am not you. I also know with full confidence that me is not you, and you is not me, because me is me, and I am me, but you are not me.
If there were no difference between you and me - you would be me, (and perhaps me would be you), but I could not ever be you because I am me. If me were you and you were me, then there would be no difference between you and me, and you could say "hey me" whenever you (or me) met friends or strangers on the street.
If you talk about you, it would be obvious that you were talking about yourself. But if you talk about me, it might also sound like you are talking about yourself -- so perhaps the difference between you and me is very subtle. On the other hand I can talk about you without appearing to be talking about myself, yet if I talk about me, it is obvious that I am talking about myself; so perhaps the difference is not so subtle, but rather is quite distinct.
SO: Is me and you the same person, or are me and you different people. If we are different, then why do you call yourself me; I don't call myself you.
BTW: pay no attention to all other people who say they are me. They are not me. I am me.
