Well, since i am a french canadian, i would have disobeyed and continue with my present activities. Being french canadian has nothing to do with it. I'm not a warrior and i have no interest of ever becoming one.

As for the other replies:
-WW1. Saving France was an issue in WW2. Helping them in the first war was a bit useless since they already had enough help and were not in immediate danger.
-For many french canadians in those years, they had no attachment to the gov. of Canada. Fighting in WW1 was getting killed for the english, who oppressed them every time they could (There was llittle distinction between Canada and England). WW1 was considered as "not our business".

For WW2, the ethical question, combined with the French in need caused many french canadians to enlist before the conscription. The conscription of WW2 was hated because the prime minister had made the engagment of never ordering the conscription without the conscent of the gov. of Québec and didn't respect his word.

If I were a French Canadian I would think of helping the French, after all my ancestors were from France. I would not disobey the law, I would avoid conscription, and volunteer to go to France and fight against the Germans. Vive la liberte!

French Canadians are ignorant SNOBS. I can't stand those damn people.

I hope Quebec becomes it's own damn country, because they are rude to other Canadians.
