talk to you doctor and get him to reccomend a good cpn or mht (community phyciatric nurse or mental health team) you can try books but they will not tell you how you yourself can deal with your past only how the author dealt with theres.
everone who has suffered bad experiances has found away to deal with them good or bad you need to find a way to find out how you can best deal with yours and that starts with talking to someone
good luck

Of course you should face your problems, but not all at the same time. It sounds like you are determined to make a start of it.
You don't really want to be disconnected from your life, you just need to get some psychological distance from people who are trying to control you and bring you misery. You cannot change people, only your own reaction to them. Be determined no to let them make you unhappy or even a bit angry. I know this can be hard, especially when those people are close to you. Think of yourself as having an invisible sheild that protects you from harm and negativity of others. If you believe in God, ask for his help in constructing this sheild and maintaining it.
Next, you need to take pleasure and inspiration from the small and wonderful things that happen in your life on a daily basis. It can be something so small, like a beautiful sunny day or a baby animal playing that really brings you back to yourself.
Remember that everything in life changes, so you will not be disappointed in the future, as some of those changes are bound to be positive ones.
There are two books which are both written by Frenchmen, which inspired me and sustained me during dark times in my life. The first one is "Papillon" by Henri Charrière, which is an autobiography written by the famous prisoner. The second one is called "And There was Light" by Jacques Lusseyran, who was a blind man, who was a hero of the French resistance during WW2. The language in that book is so delicious and filled with light. You might want to spend weeks reading just a few pages before you go to bed every night.

Escaping is not possible so stop trying. Learn to understand your problems from a logical perspective and then work out a set of solutions. Writing pro's and con's helps to stop emotional swirling inside your head.

Bouncing ideas of a confidant helps too. Maybe your school counselor? It's a part of everyones life Better to learn how to deal in a productive way early, because thy certainly never get easier. The solutions will come easier if with age if you work on the skill. Face your problems, they'll never just disappear.

Are copying other people's personalities because you are afraid to be yourself, or you simply do not know how to interact with your peers? either case, te only way to move past this is to go out and make mistakes. The only way to learn how to interact with people in a way that does not make them not want to talk to you is to try. Start being yourself, see how they react. If they react negatively then you step back (mentally) and think why was that not succesful? then take a different approach next time. this will be dificult at first but will become easier with time. this will not be easy and will most likely come with bouts of depression. but it is really the only way to learn what you need to know. good luck.

p.s. there is no easy solution to your problem, it is all up to you to be willing to confront your social fears. it will take time and will be emotionally trying.

Look, you have to understand that life isn't easy. I know that in schools many kids have to face problems with teachers and classmates. You are now so focus in the past that you don't let the present to take over your life. You still are living in the past. Everybody has something to say about bad experiences in life, in school, teachers, parents, friends, etc. But you can't live in the past forever, looks like you are obsessed for what happened and you have to learn to let go. If you want to became a better person or to change for the new, then start with FORGETTIN THE PAST.

With the rate we use fossil fuels up, books are only going to make you feel worse because of the oxygen the trees could be making but can't because they have been killed to make the books.

Listen to CD's, rent out a DVD and prey the green lobby reverse their stance on nuclear energy, under no circumstance should you purchase any book written by someone claiming to be an environmentalist, these people are the worse kind of scum, in my word document.

I do not want to push what may be considered religion on you at this time, but I will share that if you read The Bible, especially The Song of Solomon which talks about God's love for you, it will help heal your soul. Ask God to show you His love and acceptance and He will. Also, Psalms, Proverbs and The New Testament are the best places to read for the Old Testament is good, but it is mostly the history of Christianity. God does love you, and there are people who care. If you'd like to e-mail me, I'd be glad to talk thru e-mails or im to help you. autymnrosa@yahoo.com Chin up, it is going to be OK.

I am so sorry you have had such a bad experience at school. And good for you for wanting to improve yourself.

Are there any good therapists where you live to help you work out all these issues? That would be most helpful.

Most of all, realize that you are a good person who is going through bad times. If you believe in G-d, pray for help to find answers to your questions.
