We all speak of patriotism and fighting terror, etc. But, would you, as an American, give up everything for the well-being of this country?

Lots of people will say they give up everything just by being a American, helping their neighbor, giving money or making sure they obey the laws.
When you give up everything you are ready for your do as your country ask, and that sometimes is giving your life.
Yet very few are willing to do just this. It is the ultimate way when your willing to die for your country.
When you join the military you know that it a chance to die, yet as being in the corps it was to make the other die for his country.
Excuses are I did political work for my country.

Serve America in many ways by being a good worker, community service, paying taxes diligently, being a moral person and fight for the country if necessary.

When I was in boot camp, our Drill Instructor asked who among us had join the Marine Corps to die for his country. Most of us raised our hands. The D.I. smiled and said, "Not me. I joined the Corps to make some other S.O.B. die for his!" I always thought that was a real good answer.
I volunteered to go kill Cubans for President Kennedy, but never had to do that.

This is going to sound really bad, but no. Unless MY loved ones, community, homeland was in direct threat then I would. But I'm removed from all that. Sounds selfish, but hey, I don't want to follow our current leader or any leader that isn't willing to set the example and be on the ground with the troops while the fights going on. How can one be a commander-in-chief and not do that or have the sufficient experience to do so?

I would give up almost everything. I wouldn't give up the freedoms (that are quickly vanishing) that many have already died for and I wouldn't do it for the corrupt administration we have now though.

No. Liberty is what our country was founded on. Once that's given up, we have no America.
