k- first of all he cant sing!!! sundance and brandon were LOTTTTTTTS better than him! y is he still there??? ughh it makes me so mad!

Because he has a lot of fans in the 8-15 years old range. Plus the people who are voting for him because he's awful, they think it's funny.

I dont what you people have against him besides the fact he can't sing good and I'm not sure he's still on there cause 8-15 year olds vote for him.I'm 11 years old and most of my friends don't even like him.He's not even that bad! And if you wanna give me a thumbs down I don't care because I'm just trying to prove a point!

Because after the voters get to decide who wins it doesn't really matter who has the talent usually. And Sanjaya is a great example. There are plenty not all of the girls that think he is really hot, or really cute and that is what they base it on.

I totally agree~ he cannot sing at all~ and did you see that girl that cryed when he sang. That was so funny to watch because Sanjaya sucks in the first place!

I have the same question...i personaliy think the show is fake (like the editing and stuff like that) but i have the same question. I was watching tonight with my family and there are like 3 or 4 really good singers, but when i heard him I was thinking Is this a joke?! But go to votefortheworst.com...thats the website were people are voting for him and yeah.

because people think he is hilarious to watch is my guess. plus i think more people are concerned with the persona of the contestants they vote for rather than the person's true talent which is why most runner-ups have ended up with more successful careers than the show's actual winners (chris daughtry is on the top of the charts right now). this is what simon keeps making comments about every chance he possibly can because he wants to get the point across that this is SUPPOSED to be a talent competition.

He sings terrible... There are lots of people who just want the worst person to win one time, on American Idol. There is actually a site for them all, I don't know it, but they are probably the ones to blame. All the Indian people here are also voting for him.

I think everyone is just being cruel because we like to laugh at him. Plus not enough people are voting for the singers who deserve to be there. Its so cruel to do this to another human being. I cant believe he hasnt dropped out graciously. If he wins its just a big joke. This nation really knows how to humiliate someone.
