I'd think that be the wrong way to look at it. LAN, MAN, WAN... each has its place. Each has its own reasons to exist. One can't replace another. They're all generalist terms that are easily abused and exaggerated by those that wish to appear big. Now, if you were talking about the various protocols that might be used within a specific type of network, then that would be applicable. Hope that helps.

Advantages / disadvantages of electricity.
Advantages :- It gives us light, makes our computers run, makes so many tiny devices in my home to run..
