Gerard Butler plays this very dark, mysterious, and very highly sexy role. He actually got his start as a rock singer in Ireland, and when he sings in this movie, it's so heartbreaking, and you really feel for the poor Phantom. He's wonderful in this film, and every time I watch it, I secretly wish I was Christine Daai. lol He also starred in "Tombraider, Cradle of Life", "Timeline", and I think he's the main actor in "300".

OMG!!! I thought I was the only one here that broke out into a sweat every time I see him!! Yes he is the main actor in 300. You also need to check out ATTILA. Another movie where he is the lead.

I saw in on stage & it was so much better & more powerful. I dressed as him one Hallowen & some of the idiots thought I was Zorro!
