Is there really an emo??

what is emo.........ive been called that and i have also been called scene........gosh i hate sterotypes so that is the reason why i want to know what is emo?? its like saying you dont get emotional............ever

Emo is a derscription for "Emotional" people. They are the kind that like to keep to themselves and tend to be a little bit antisocial. The are mostly the kind or artistic loners on thie class. Hope this helps.

I'm emo/goth sure there's a change and I'm a mixture of each... My dad calls me emish, I'm looking ahead to that to seize on haha... Emos are nice the type rocks together with the style in track and certainly emo is created via tough lives or pasts nevertheless, this doesn't suggest we're continuously unhappy and depressed we do smile!!

Emo is short for emotional. an emo person gets very emotional with everyday tasks. It can be anywhere from crying because someone cut you off in the middle of your conversation, or a big thing like being dumped by your boyfriend or girlfriend. Trust me, I am very emo so that is why I know all of this! I hope this has helped!

An Emo is a follower of emo music, just like a Punk is a follower of Punk rock. Emo, sometimes reffered to as scene, is based around the music which can be described as depresive, emotional in a way that it has rather soothing rythyms. The emo stereotype, is that emo's cut themselves, are whiney, sad, depressed, write poetry and basically have a really depressive outlook on life. Emos are said to dress in tight pants with hair usually covering one eye ( often the hair is dyed crazy colors), tight vintage shirts, converse shoes and pins, etc.

The term emo is often used as an insult to describe somebody depressed, weak, suicidal, etc.

really, emo is like another alternative branched-from-punk scene that has become like a subculture ( a subculture being a group of lifestylers with similiar interests, like Goth, Skater, Furry and the like). They are music based.

Emos have negetive emotions, like they hate everything, they hate the world, probably hate their parents, but not their friends. They feel so much suffering and pity, and want to kill themselves and flat-out die. They don't kill themselves though, I'n not sure why. they will usually cut themselves and put up a false sense of well-being or something. They don't care about almost anything. They will usually dress black, and everything has to be about them. In just about every picture, they are not smiling.

An entire subculture of people (usually angsty teens) with a fake personality. The concept of Emo is actually a vicious cycle that never ends, to the utter failing of humanity, and it goes something like this:

1. Girls say they like "sensitive guys" (lie)
2. Guy finds out, so he listens to ***** emo music and dresses like a dork so chicks will see that he is sensitive and not afraid to express himself (lie). He dyes his hair black, wraps himself in a stupid looking scarf, develops an eating disorder, and rants about how "nobody understands".
3. Now an emo guy, he meets Emo chick and they start dating, talking about how their well-off suburban lifestyles are terrible and depressing (lie)
4. Emo guy is just too much of a pussy. His penis is too small, he's too depressed to bathe, and has more mood swings than emo chick, and he doesn't even have a menstrual cycle. Emo chick dumps him, saying "It's not you, it's me." (lie) as she drives off with Wayne, the school jock and captain of the football team.
5. Emo guy goes home and cries, proceeds to write a weak song and strum a single string on his acoustic guitar. Another emo chick sees how he is so in touch with his feelings, and the cycle continues.

This is the sad truth of the emo lifestyle/music, and now that I look at how pathetic it really is, maybe the emos DO have something to cry about!

When she sees how sensitive and emo I have become, she'll definately go out with me!
