what do you think of the name "Silly Gimmick" for a band?
If you dont like it, can you please give any ideas for the name?
Its a rock band playing funk, alternative, metal, and acoustic.

awww i think it's a great name!!! i love when bands use colloquial phrases as names.

i don't know where you got the name silly gimmick, but personally i think it sounds a little lame. i'm not that creative when it comes to thinking of names for bands, but you should base the name on the members of group. look at your personality types, interests, and attitudes and try to come up with something fromt that. you will have a part of all your group members in the name of your band.

That's a great name for a funk-alternative-metal-acoustic band. It's easy to remember, it sounds great, and it would look great in print. Good luck!

If you plan to stay a local band that works fine. As for going further... Silly Gimmick is not all that marketable.

Its original....I like it....Theres some deep meaning to it if you think about, ya know how the entertainment industry is turning into a silly gimmick.

How about "The Grand Funk Boys", "Grand Funk Guys",or just "Grand Funk". Good Luck!!

I do not like the name but like the Jamie said try to pick some thing that represents everyone that is in the band.

i think that good; try to go toward a rebel name but i totally here that name on 107.9 the end; and really it doesnt matter what's the name ITS THE MUSIC!!
