They are going to buy Bush some more time to "stay the course". He is doing everything possible to avoid changing the fundamental strategy in Iraq. It has been four years but he still thinks of this as a "war" instead of the occupation it is.

"bypass the greenback Bush" implies plenty. 5x extra does to boot. The question is valid in itself....... however the stupid Bush ingredient negates it. Did you have subject concerns with Blackwater till now you observed it on television? Do you have awareness of government contracting at many extra ranges than inner maximum risk-free practices? we are speaking approximately contracts interior the 1000's of hundreds of thousands. Democrats and republicans have a element in this. won't see that on television although. comprehend background? Been in Iraq? No. in a position to be employed via Blackwater? ingredient is think of deeper. end thinking political events..... think of why issues are as they are. examine some background and your eyes will open. yet i'm going to backdown and agree on the easy ingredient. they have upped bonuses for the "particular" troops. whether that is not sufficient. that is extra straightforward than that. as quickly as upon a time even the chefs have been militia. If necessary they might %. up a weapon so which you probably did not might desire to spend funds to guard them. I say rehaul the pay scale and bonuses. no person (possibly some) if not militia enter a conflict zone. era.

Your numbers are inflated when it comes to the 100,000 mercenaries. there are NO where near that numbers and most are for security jobs.
As for the 200,000 iraquis, they are now beginning to be any good since it takes years for a soldier to be any good, beginning with the inital training and THEN experience, even in our military it takes about 3 years for a soldier not to be considered a youngster anymore. So the iraquis are NOW becoming any good. Also out of those 200,000 half are in support duties such clerck positions, cooks, etc, only HALF are combat units..half! so that is 100,000 unexperience bodies still learning! and out of that anywhere between 1/3 to 1/2 are not on duty (hey they need sleep sometime kid) leaving anywhere between 50,000 and 70,000 on duty in the WHOLE country of 26 millions!!!!!
As for our 150,000 same thing!!! half are support personnel, cooks clercks, etc, only about 70,000+ are combat units and all are not on at once (again they need time to get some sleep), rotating themselves between periods of rest and combat, so about 35,000 are on duty at any given time more or less.
NOW given the SIZE of Iraq and its 26 millon people population 35,000 US troop plus another 50 to 75,000 iraquis troops equals...drum roll please..about a max of 110,000 combine troops at any given time to patrol the entire country!!!!..which is NOT enough....remember Iraq has 26 millions..that's 26,000,000 people!!!!
And as the standard formula for a proper occupation and reconstruction of an occupied country dictates you need tom have in country 1 soldier for every 40 persons in that country:
http://www.washingtonpost.com/ac2/wp-dyn/A10161-2004May8?language=printer
so if you can follow the math 26 million divided by 40 is ...drum roll...650 thousand!!!!!!!!!! that is 650,000 troops needed!!!!! 150,000 plus iraqis 200,000 including cooks and all!! (lol....) that 350,000 against the 650,000 NEEDED!!! 350..to 650..mmmm! NOT ENOUGH!!!
so you people criticizing without a clue go back to school and GET a clue.....learn something THEN talk!!
support the effort there to win this mess!!
jess!!!!

The 30,000 more troops being sent is just to help secure Baghdad. If that ever happens, then he'll want 30,000 more to secure Ahnbar province and on and on it will go.

You wouldn't know, and that's the reason Bush makes
the decisions. He gets what needs to be done by
the Generals that are over there and they see what the
needs are and let him know. He works from these
messages from top-notch military heads. We have no
idea of how the military works. I'd say, whatever it takes
to wipe them out. We've got to get rid of terrorist or
they will take over the world and we'll all end of living
like they do in Iran. All they know is killing. They teach
children to kill at an early age. They make normal
citizens do the suicide bombing as they are terrorist
dictators and everyone does as they say. They do not
have any idea of how we live in America, land of the
free, free to travel, free to speak our minds, free to
enjoy life without guns in our streets. Sit back and let
the Army do their thing....that"s what armies are supposed
to do (protect us). We can wonder but we civilians do
\ not give the orders.

He completely changed the dynamics of the Iraq war discussion. It went from how many do we bring home, to how many should be sent. Brilliant political move. And I agree that 30,000 will not make any difference.

Assuming I trusted your figures, more troops cannot disbenefit them. The 30000 will also bring in fresh blood and help boost morale and confidence. Ultimately any and all troops will aid the cause go USA.

Wow, you must have taken math classes from Al Gore and his fuzzy math.
I guess if you want it bad enough (2 + 3 = 6).
