Which should I do to get the most college credit/hours and what is a semester hour because dual credit courses offered at my school cost $50 per semester hour and I do not know what that is. Also, will prestigious colleges in state accept dual credit courses taken during high school for example UT, Texas A&M, Baylor, etc.? Thanks I am very confused about all of this and I have to register for classes for next year pretty soon. I will be a junior next year.

$50 a credit is good.. it's great! In college it's usually $150-$900 a credit. Get it while it's hot I guess!

Scoring anything over a 3 on an AP exam is great.

This is the deal with it:

AP exams DON'T always get you college credits.. BUT the great thing about them is that they allow you to get into advanced college courses without having to take introdutory courses. Example: You took AP Psych, chem , bio & physics. When you get to college; you can take other courses without taking the "intro to.." course (which are a drag!); you can take, abnormal psych, child psych, biological psych; organic chem, inorganic chem, analytical chem; microbiology, germonalogy; astrophysics, geophysics.

That is great in the long run because you can save a ton of money (intro courses cost more than advanced courses most of the time because they are usually worth 4 points/credits/hours)

Dual Credit courses are also great; it all really depends!!

Most colleges don't accept more than 40 outside credits; be it AP or Dual; I believe 25 is the minimum threshold and 40 is the maximum; but you can check out the Bullitians on the Universities website &/or meet with a counsler at that specific school & they will be happy to walk you through it.

no longer all faculties will settle for AP tests for credit, no count what your score grow to be. those faculties (like Smith and Rice) will in effortless terms enable you improve to a extra sturdy type for doing nicely on the AP examination. maximum faculties will settle for AP instructions for credit, and maximum of those will take the scores 3-5, yet some in effortless terms 4-5.
