I think this every day when I look in the mirror. I'll be turning 38 next month. I guess what's important is that you feel young. I actually don't feel any different than what I did when I was 20.

The gray hairs started at 40, the aches and pains at 45, and the lines of time at 48.

A while ago...I went to the restroom and came out and told someone that I just saw someone in there that I had not seen for ages....she asked who...my reply? I swore I would not be like my mother or look like her when I aged....but, when I looked in that mirror...there was my Mother staring back at me....I cried. It seems like the road getting to this age was so long but now that its here I ask myself where did the time go????
Don't cry...go be whatever it is you wish....and smile....cause you are still on planet earth

Fifty was the big one. Damn, half a century old! Then my children had children and I was dragged kicking and screaming into Grandparenthood (actually it's pretty cool). But seeing wrinkles and age-spots and grey hair. Realizing I wasn't as strong as I used to be. Looking down and not being able to see my feet.... It sucks getting old.

When I turned 45 someone took a picture from behind me and you could see a little thinning in the back at the top. Grrrrrrr!

When I saw that I have more grey hairs than black ones and people started thinking I was older than my wife who is 9 years older than me. I don't boohoo over it, though....it just is. I wouldn't give up the wisdom that comes with age to have my young looks back and neither would you if you think about that.

I must disagree with you, I,m over 60 and I am told by a lot of people that I don't look my age, they say that I look more like 40 yrs. old, makes me feel great, I once went to the hospital, gave them my ID, and they called the cops, they told the cops that I was using someone Else's ID. for med. coverage. lucky for me the cop knew me, I have no gray or white hair.

That would have been when my 18 year old son begged me to dye my hair....so I looked at it closely &
GAAACK!!!!
I've been dying it regularly now for 9 years!
As far as the full-naked body scrutiny, I don't need to look-- I can feel it bobbling around with every step.

Now, now don't worry. I have waited all my life to be old enough to not have to really worry about the lines or the bags anymore. Love the lines, they show you have laughed a lot in your life, the bags show you have worked to support your family or stayed up late w/wee ones sick. Life shows us the way to understand the changes all you have to do is listen. Good luck.
