I actually get highly depressed. I live in the USA as well, but I live in a semi-large city in Iowa. Sometimes its hard to think about the way that people live around here...where working and earning money is more important than a human life.

Hey well we get the same scenario here in the Uk, I guess its always the grass is greener on the other side kind of thing.
I get envious watch the high rollers in their 4x4's with their glorious houses, I get depressed thinking of giving up hope that one day Life will be easier and more easily sustained instead of such a financial mine field. But I guess it doesnt matter where we are there is always a time where you want to better yourself, same issues even in different cultures! Go figure!!!

Yes, I live in Canada and most winters it's so cold sometimes you just don't want to leave your house. I really don't think -38 degrees Celsius is normal temperature. I'm sick of it!!
The neighbourhood is very diverse and people are outgoing and friendly-so I don't have a problem in that respect. I know what you mean about the show-offs though -I know people who own three luxury cars between themselves and their spouse and their kids don't have a winter coat, hat, gloves or boots!! I tend to call those jokers out on that.

look at it this way. no matter where u go people r about the same. Why do u think the mountain men in the 1800's decided that human contact was such a miserable way of life. animals were & never rold lies & were never dishonest. nature was a cruel task manager. but u either learned in hurry or u died very quickly. what do i do? I drive a truck in the u.s.a. over the road. I prefer my own company. very little contact with humans. It keeps me from going insane!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes I am fed up with my county, the town, and all. England has gone to the dogs and I wish I could escape but have no way of doing so.
Interaction with neighbours is a thing of the past, either they can't be bothered, or they want something from you!
What a life!!

I live in London and feel exactly the same way. Its like you just take a step back and think, what are we doing to ourselves, and suddenly become very aware of how lonely living is and how greedy we have all become, and see the costs in the suffering people world over (uk, us included).
I also become aware of how powerless I feel against it, but how obligated I am to try to change, yet it feels like a head against a brick wall.

Yes I do get depressed with where I live. I've been living here for 55 years and I would just like to live where it's not so flat..like in Arizona where there are mountains and canyons.
