I am on a limited budget, so if there is something i must do to avoid a high repair cost please let me know. *I am not mechanically inclined.

first check the fuses for blown fuses then check the wire plug on the horn, they often come loose,

Pick one!

There's not that much to a horn circuit, but what there is, is wiring. That can be a pain to chase. (read: can't tell but might be expensive). You won't know what it'll cost until you get into it. I've seen very simple ones (rusted connection, file some metal) and very complex ones (not one but two breaks in the dash harness).

Likely its the horn relay.. about a $10 part.. second might be the horn itself.. (put a meter on it and see if it gets a 12V signal)
