honestly, size does not matter.. it's how comfortable you are using the racquet. The best way to find out is for you to just go out to any major tennis shop and demo. most shops have free demo but it's nice if you intend to buy a racquet from them instead of online or cheaper markets. I am currently using the old sampras 85 but i am looking to upgrade to the federer tour 90. but through years of testing, i have collected over 20 racquets to finally feel an attachment for my current racquet. so to save money and finding what work best for ya, I recommend going to the shop and just pick out what you like when you hold it in your hands. what's more important is that you have to be able to feel comfortable with it while hitting the ball and not just swinging with it. if you are a weak hitter, try the head heavy racquet with bigger size. strong and aggressive hitter usually get the head light and usually smaller head size. only yourself will know waht's best for you once you take the racquets out for a test drive. Since you are a beginner, I recommend you just practice on forms and footwork.. power and control can come later. Bring a friend with you who's willing to be a ball boy/girl. just have them toss the ball to you and practice your swing motions and footwork. it's essentials that you learn it or else you might end up with injuries in the future. plus once you pick up a habit of hitting the ball a certain way, it's hard to break it.. so just work hard on correct forms and footwork. good luck with your racquet hunting. oh, I personally think the wilson prostaff tour 95 is really nice. it's a well balanced racquet and light enough for females to use. plus it hone your swing more. but that's only my opinion.

It's not too big if you the type of player that takes compact and light swings. The bigger the head size the bigger the sweet spot and you'll have an easier shot at returning the ball. But, if you're an experienced player that can play with power, you'll want a head size around 99-105. You'll get more control of your shot. Good luck with the team.

it is not too big, different things suit different players. I'd say 110sq. in. is probably about the biggest you would want to go though.
