Well they're both agitators. You hate them if they're not on your team. I'm a Caps fan. I'm glad I get the chance to hate Avery even more now that he's in the east.
Let me break down the differences
1) Talent
* Tucker has 22G despite missing around 10 weeks of the season with a broken foot. He's a gamer and tried to play through the fracture.
* Avery has 14G. His talent is trying to run Marty Brodeur to get him off his game. Not a Devils fan by any means, but I would hate to see an icon of the game miss time because of some punk.
2) Racist Tendencies
* Tucker - None.
* Avery
- Blasted French Canadiens (see link below)
- Accused of racism by Georges Laraque (see link below)
- Probably friends with John Rocker
3) Diving
* Tucker - Not particularly skilled
* Avery
- Fined for diving (see link below)
Tucker is the kind of guy you love to hate, but you respect him and he's good for the game. Avery is just a jerk in the mold of Colton Orr, Cam Janssen, Ryan Hollwegg. You hate them and don't respect them either.

i would have to go with darcy tucker.he takes some cheap shots and always seems to get away with it.i read an article right after jamison(nj devils) got suspended and tucker called him a goon and said the nhl had no place for goons!!!! i thought to myself it that were true he'd be gone for sure.i think sean avery is a cheap shot player also but not as bad as tucker!!!!!

sean avery, he got kicked off the kings last season and even got into a fight with a reporter, you would never argue that he doesn't give the game his all, tucker isn't as big of an agitator and darcy does have a better scoring touch

Sean Avery is all mouth, Tucker is the dirtiest player in the NHL learn from the best Domi. Tucker jumps at every body check he does and gets away with it. if there's a scrum in front of the net he will punch a player from behind as Domi did.

Jordin Tootoo followed by Tucker and Avery. Chris Simon stands alone as the biggest idiot.

Sean Avery...on-ice and off-ice, he acts like an idiot most of the time...I am an Ottawa Senators fan, and I don't like Tucker to play against, but I would love him on our team...
