carmelo anthony...
a high scorer for sure but what else can he do? its a toss-up nowadays what he's better known for: his high scoring or his infamous slap and run.

Lebron James and Steve Nash:
Lebron James is only considered a top player b/c ESPN and every other media outlet has hyped him up since he was 15 years old and he has become a great offensive player but he is not a great basketball player, just a great scorer. He is a horrible defender which is half of the game (Kobe Bryant and Dwyane Wade are great at both, much better actually) and he also doesnt have the balls when it comes to the clutch moments. In the 4th quarter he lags behind while guys like Kobe, Wade, Duncan, Nowitzki step up and take over and carry their respective teams - Lebron falls back b/c he doesnt have it. 2 Examples: 1.) Heat/Cavs game 2 months back - Cavs are up 4 going into the 3rd, Wade outscores the ENTIRE Cavs team and scores 41 in the game (24 in the 4th) and the Heat win by 6. Lebron scored just 6-7 pts in the last quarter and missed the last 3 3's that could have kept them in it. 2.) Tonight - 8 game winning streak they go into OT with the CHARLOTTE BOBCATS and lose by 7. Lebron shoots 12-31. He cannot carry his team when it matters the most. He isnt even in my top 15 right now, maybe not even the top 20.
Steve Nash. Sure he is great and he does well with the Suns but damnit he NEVER deserved an MVP. First off they never even made it to a championship game, they havent even won their conference. They are a regular season team only, their style of play is why he is so successful - put any quick and good passing guard into that system w/ those players and he will average 20-10 easily. Everyone acts as if this is the first time a guard has done what he has - the Utah Jazz had a guy named John Stockton who averaged over his entire CAREER what Nash has in his BEST SINGLE SEASON. Stockton was 10x the PG that Nash is and he never received a single MVP. The Suns are good whatever, they dont play a lick of defense and they arent capable of handling a team like the Spurs or Mavs in a 7 game series, they dont have the defense and teams play defense much differently (tougher) in the postseason than the reg. season the Suns cannot adapt to that. Steve Nash is great and i love watching him play - but he isnt MVP great.

I agree with the first three, the last four.....you're kidding, right?
Dirk. A 7-footer that can hit ANY shot on the court. A 7-footer who's hitting 40% of his three pointers and 90% of his free throws. Too quick for most big men and too tall for most small defenders.
Lebron James. He's about to AVERAGE a triple double. If he had a couple of reliable scorers, he would already average a triple double.
Kevin Garnett. Are you kidding me with this list? Perhaps one of the best power forwards ever. Great mid range, great defender, great post player. What else are you looking for?
McGrady. Not as obvious as the other three but the guy can play. Great all around game and in the mold of a Kobe Bryant type player. Just bigger.
Who I would add? Dwyane Wade, Shaq, Baron Davis, Corey Maggette, AK47

in my opinion, all of them. not just all on your list but all nba players in general. they all act as if they are so much better than anyone else in any sport, but they are always the first to act like bitches when somehting starts to fly.
