Removing wax takes time. First take a plastic knife or a scraper of some kind, and scrape off as much as possible. Then get a roll of paper towel. Now heat your iron until warm, not hot. place the paper towel on top of the wax and lay the iron on it for a few seconds, keep changing the paper towel, because you don't want it to stain any other part of the garment. What your doing is melting the wax , and it is being absorbed by the paper towel, When you have removed all the wax, then clean the garment as you always did.

Put clothes in refridgerator then icecube over the wax and that then you should be able to peel or crack the wax off.

Put it in the freezer. The wax will come right off.

Wait until it hardens. Pick off what you can. For the leftover still stuck on, heat with a hairdryer and blot with a papertowel until it all removes.

Don't laugh but, try automotive brake cleaner. Just spray it on and the residue should disappear, then wash as usual. It's my go-to for most any laundry stains.
