No matter how hard I try, I never succeed...nothing ever comes out great for me. Its just blaaah. Because of this, I feel I have become more apathetic as each situation unfolds as just another dissapointing reminder that things won't go as planned. I keep trying and trying time after time, thinking maybe I will do well. Maye I have to change who I am?

we fail only if we never try and you have convince your self that why bother you won't win if you go into something with a defeated attitude chances are you will be defeated.
go into every situation saying to yourself I can do it I am the best person for the job and the more you say it to your self mentally and out loud the more you will start to believe it and you will see it take hold in your life in the people around you and they will see you Thur your eyes.
you know what you should do take a stick note pad and write little positive saying to your self and place them around your home and work or school or just write them in a book if your a private person and read it everyday until the idea take root.
and they will.
PS remember the world sees you as you see yourself. so be your biggest fan and the rest of the world will follow suit

You are only paying attention to the things that go wrong: make mental notes of the things that went favourably, as well. Avoid thinking in terms of "never" and "always", and when you do; recognise that it is from the negative part of your mind. Immediately confront it by saying to yourself forcefully (aloud if appropriate): "I know this tactic; GO AWAY FOR A WHILE!!!" You might wish to employ: "ruse, game, trick, ploy, or scam", instead of "tactic". Use "seldom", or "rarely", and "often", or "frequently", instead of "never" and "always". You planned to come here and were successful, so you can't accurately state that everything is going against you. Keep in mind that there are many ways things can go wrong, and usually only a small number, or just one way to go right. Remember the old saying: "The best laid plans of mice and men oft go astray." YOU are the one who chooses to disappoint yourself: YOU are the one who can choose to smile and say: "Well, that could have gone better; back to the drawing board."

Your use of the phrase "nothing ever comes out great for me" should be disputed. Reflect upon the occasions when your efforts were rewarded. These memories will form the foundation for your next attempt to achieve a goal. And you might need to modify your approach so you aren't "doing things the same way while expecting different results".

Your attitude by itself is enough to inflict repetitive failure...change your attitude completely(not just from the neck up) i mean u need to totally have a positive attitude and see how things go.Try to look up EFT, it can help u overcome emotional obstacles u might face while making your changes.GL!!

all it takes it to change your point of veiw on things. it sounds like to me that you look at a glass with water to the middle and say that it is half empty... particularly in situations like that, or becomeing that way.

the way i look that things like that are challenges... something i crave to improve myself. the journey is just as improtant, if you dont do so well then you have learned something as long as you accept it as such.
