pearls just recently became really big in the casual scene. more and more people are wearing them out to social situations, rather than to, like, prom or whatever.
If you have a string of pearls, wear it with whatever you can. It'll add a touch of class and also let people know that you don't take yourself too seriously.
Just be careful, because pearls can get scratched fairly easily, so you shouldn't sleep in them or take a shower with them on.
(oh, and you can wear perfume with them, of course, just make sure you put on the perfume BEFORE you put on your pearls)
Your pearls should be the last thing you put on when you're getting ready, and the first thing you take off when you get home.

yes definitely but it also depends on the style, color and size of the pearls. A long necklace of white pearls can be worn with a tee shirt and it can be tied in a knot. shorter pearls are a little more formal. Also pearls that have diamond accents are definitely too formal. White pearls are the most casual because they are not as rare. Pink pearls, black pearls, and purple pearls are more expensive and more formal

You can wear pearls casually, but I'm not sure they are in style right now. The 1980's is coming back and pearls were really popular then so check the fashion rags and see.

My daughter wore pearls absolutely everywhere for over a year, casually/dressy, etc. and they became her signature look. I think they're a classic and will never go out of style. If you want a little different look, try irregular pearls, colored pearls, and pearls with other beads strung in as well. There are tons of great looks out there.

I dont know if they are in style anymore but I dont see anyone around here wearing them. I personally wouldnt ever wear pearls casually. But be yourself..if you want to wear them, wear them. Dont put so much effort into styles. The most stylish thing is to wear what you like. Not what someone else likes.

definitely! i go to a new england prep boarding school, things might be different there but i'm a sophomore and i wear pearls with a lot of things.

Pearls are a classic, if you style is classic ie polo shirts with khakis or anything by j crew... it would really look cute

pearls were in last year, but there still in.
long pearls are the best (drape)
you can even tie them in a knot or just leave them long.

Pearls are like my signature and they go with almost everything. Yes they are still very in, worn longer.

of course...
wearing your pearls helps keep them moisturized.(body oils.)
remember to wipe them clean with a soft dry cloth after you wear them...
and never spray perfume near them.
