Q: managed an ENTIRE collegiate game?

Q: dropped backed to pass, picked apart the secondary and found an open receiver?

Q: stepped up into the pocket to make a pass instead of running?

my point is this...

why do people think he has the ability to lead FL to a 2cd national championship???

he was mostly used to pick up 1st downs on short yardage plays...is he a great athlete? YES. but is he a national championship style QB? i think not...

i see LSU, AU and maybe even TN eating him alive...

what do you think??

ps...GO TROJANS!!!!!

i never said i didnt like him i acyually said i think he is a great athlete. my point ONCE AGAIN is that i dont see him being the type of QB that can lead his team to a national championship...you said the #1 recruiting class will help..yes it will, but do you expect 27 true freshman to lead your team to the nat champ game???

Hell, he ran all over Ohio State. He had a pretty sweet touchdown pass too. Whats wrong with having a quarterback who can pick up for or 5 yards running almost every play. Eventually teams will pick up on it, and he can pass it. In college you dont have to be a drop pack pocket passer to be successful. In the NFL, you do, but in college some of the most succesful QB's in college in recent memory were run first guys (Eric Crouch Heisman winner, Vince Young).

i haven't seen enough of the guy to make a total judgement, but we (LSU) lost to FLA last year, largely because of tebow and not leak. (that double-clutch TD pass to the TE falling out of the endzone haunted me for a week or 2, what a lucky play). but he's got the size, moves and certainly athleticism. passing is a definite question mark, but with the athletes they have, they may be just fine with him. they could do run the option, or run a lot of screen passes to blazers like percy harvin. and their defense should be ok. that said in the SEC pretty much everyone is improving this year, and they play some tough road games (LSU won't lose to them at home), so in general it will be very hard for them, but not mainly because of tebow, who we don't know enough about yet.

Yeah, he's definitely overated. I'm a HUGE UNC fan so with the recruiting class they've got coming in, they should be pretty good. I also like Tennessee. Rocky Top, makin' a run at the National Championship!

well for one he was a freshman last season and never got that chance he threw the ball, and ran the ball well and is a perfect fit in meyers offense you just dont like him because your trojans choked and the gators who were the best team in college football and proved it with a major stroking of the buckeyes knocked your trojans out of the title game Tebow will be successful hes still got 3 years to go so he will be fine and having the the #1 class of recruits wont hurt either GO GATORS NATIONAL CHAMPS!

FLORIDA HAS TOO MUCH TALENT TO HELP TEBOW BECOME SUCCESFUL. I PERSONALLY DO NOT LIKE TEBOW AND THINK HE WILL NOT BE SUCCESFULL, BUT WITH PERCY HARVIN, AND SOME FRESHMEN 5 STAR RECRUITS, TEBOW SHOULD BE FINE.
