Any team can win the World Series thats why the Play
The Red Sox have a good team but really need to figure out this bullpen issue before the season starts. If they can do that i dont see why they cant make some noise in the playoffs
They have good starting pitching and a strong offense
Defense is questioniable and so is there bullpen

They have a good chance, but I'm not entirely sold on them to win it. Especially if they get a lot of late season injuries like last year. The red sox had a solid pitching rotation beckett, matsuzaka, schilling, papelbon. I have a feeling matsuzaka is going to be an outstanding pitcher. I like how he throws a lot of breaking balls to strike out the batter .They might need papelbon to close for them again this year. the red sox has ortiz and the yankees know a lot about him since playoffs 2004 lol. manny is a good player too. coco crisp should do better than last year. They didn't have a good lead off hitter last year so I hope they improved on that. I think julio lugo is leading off, not entirely sure on that. anyway, thats what they need to improve on if they want to make a good run for the world series and even win it.

Given their roster, I think that they have a better chance than most teams out there. They've made vast improvements over last year's squad, who were in first place for the whole first half of the season until they were bitten by the injury bug. A lot is made out of the bullpen issue, which could definitely be a problem... but Pineiro's actually put together a pretty good spring, barring his first couple of appearances. If this team gels the way that it should, then the Sox should be going pretty deep into October.

It's very iffy. I'm most worried about the sox pitching staff. Epstein had a lot of guts to spend 100 mil on Diasuke, who is playing in the MLB for his first time, but Spring training games say very little.. I think our lineup will be strong as always with Ortiz and Ramirez.. I just don't have that gut feeling that we're gonna win this year.

Nope i'm pretty sure they won't. Don't get me wrong, I love the Red Sox, but I love the Minnesota Twins more and they are definetly gonna be the ones to win it!

Not this year. Way too much hype on a pitcher that has yet to be prove himself.
