The 02 Galant came with keyless entry except for the entry-level Galant DE.

i own a shop and if you have a key fob with it that has buttons that would be one way, the other way would be to call the dealer give them the Vin number of the vehicle,and they can run it and tell you if it does or not,good luck i hope this helps.

Grab the keys and the owner's manual, lock the doors and find out but make sure you have the keys lol.
