there will be a lip of steal that runs all along the rocker panel on each side of the car. when jacking it is safe at the front to use the frame, and at the back if there is no better spot then that lip is your answer.

You've got the answer. There will be a diagram in the owner's manual and there is also one in the truck of your car, I believe. Just look about 6 inches ahead of the rear wheel under the rocker panel and you shuld see it.

I believe there is a cut on the body at the side that the jack fits into

your owners manual should tell you. instructions could also be on the jack. otherwise, lookn under the doorpost for a reinforced spot. that should be the spot.
