Her movie comes out in 2009; it is set in New Orleans; it is going to be Disney's first 2-D movie since Home on the Range. I am SO excited. Gotta say I LOVE my Disney princesses. Up until now Belle has been my fave but I'm ready for something new! Its a collecting thing... And collecting them and watching the movies make me feel like a little kid again. :D

Finally a Disney Princess my twin girls can identify with. I also appreciate that fact that she doesn't just look like a 'black Barbie'. My family is from New Orleans,so I'm really looking forward to Disney's take on it.
When I see her, I see myself and that's a beautiful thing. For me, as a Black woman, as well as the billions of Black girls worldwide.

I can't wait! I grew up with the Disney princesses, and I was so mad when Disney shut down their animation studio. But now they're making The Frog Princess, and I am so excited! I've been to New Orleans many times, and it will be so interesting to see a town that I'm familiar with in a Disney movie. Belle's my favorite princess as of now too. I hope this isn't the last hand drawn animation movie Disney does. To me their hand drawn animation is so much better then their computer animation. So, I'm with you, I can't wait! The people who made the Little Mermaid are the one's making The Frog Princess, so it's got to be awesome!
