While you can buy a computer for $400, it really isn't feasable. Not only will it be obsolete faster than you can spell terabyte, but it wont be able to handle most new games. If you can manage to scrounge up more resources than that, keep in mind that for a gaming computer, your most important piece is the graphics card. Make sure the card you get has dedicated memory for faster and smoother running, at least 256 mb realistically. ATI or NVIDIA are your best bets. Also on a separate note, while RAM is also important for gaming, it by far the most easily upgraded component of your computer, so if you start out with only 1 gb, a year later you can double it to keep up with gaming industry standards for not too much. As for a processor, you likely won't be upgrading that, so get as fast as you can without breaking the piggy.

ignore him, you can look and see wht you can find but he has a point, 400 will not get much for gaming esp, if the card will set you back a good 600 in its self. but check out www.newegg.com
