Well for starters your question if foolish like yourself why should black people not speak English, get jobs, go to school etc who said this was exclusive only for whites to do and if your white maybe you could take a long hard look at yourself and be one of thoses facts you are busy quoting 'BE POLITE"??????????

First of all- there really is no set way people should act. Some people have different lifestyles. I mean, I know PLENTY of white people that curse a lot, and are very mean. I also know PLENTY of african american people that have great jobs, are nice, and get good grades. And what african americans don't speak english? If they don't, they are probably some other race (i.e. Jamaican).
It all just depends on how people are raised, and what they are exposed to. I guess african american people generally don't succeed as well in your eyes.
Black people should not be expected to not succeed as well, and not like the things you listed above. African americans are just like everyone else. They do not act "white". The correct term is that they succeed well.
Now, this doesn't mean that white people act "black" and don't succeed well. White and black people both can not succeed in the same ways.
So, to answer your question, Why do blacks act White- I tell you this: Black AND white people like to succeed well. What is wrong with people wanting to suceed. Are you saying that there is something wrong with black people acting "good"? There are nothing wrong with the qualities that you listed. They are just living their life. (Note- This does not mean that acting "black" means not succeeding. I am not racist.)

First of all I don't think that is a racist comment. To answer your question I don't believe the examples that you have listed are correct ones. First of all you have to be more clear in the way that you define acting white. Speaking proper english does not mean that you are acting white it just means that you are educated whether that be formally or informally. In order to get a job you have to be able to conduct yourself in a manner that shows that you are serious about the work. You don't have to act white in order to go to school, anyone can it all depends on the individual and what they want to get out of it. By not swearing as often you are just showing that your vocabulary is not limited, your able to get your point across in away that will not offend people, if that's what you want to do. And finally being polite is something that is hard, I'm black and because of this people assume that I am unable to do all of the above, sometimes being polite means just holding your tongue because if you don't that just proves what everyone else thinks of you.

First of all what should we speak? Swahili? This is the United States and guess what the official language happens to be English. Getting jobs? Do you really think that all black people should just be hobos? Going to school? I'll have you know that I go to the best private school in my city and get straight As. Ha. I cuss sooo much. Um......i'm black and i do exactly all the things that you listed above........ I rarely curse, talk very politely, getting ready for my future(jobs), i always go to school, and recieve good grades, and i always speak english and never that street talk or whatever it is. I get teased at sometimes bcuz of that and so does my sister. I'm even sometimes called an "oreo" or i must be mixed with another race as well. (the way i talk and my long hair too). But i'm not ashamed of myself. I'm proud of who i am becuse i'm a young lady not some ghetto girl or whatever.

So i wonder.....what's a black person? How does a REAL black person talk like or act like? I've always wanted to know. If it means to be getting arrested all the time, cursing, using the "n" word(very bad word!!!!), talking that street talk, into the rap some much, live in the ghetto, talks so loud or etc. Well i'm defiantly none of that and never will be. Am I considered in your case "white"? I would like to know.
