The phenomena you are talking about has nothing to do with the expansion of the universe. It's just that when you were 3 years old, three months of summer would be 1/12th of your lifetime. At twenty, three months is only 1/80th of your lifetime so time seems shorter as you grow older.

The phenonemen you are describing has nothing to do with the expansion of the universe. It's all to do with the fact that when you were 2 years old, one day represented a relatively large percentage of your entire life at that point. As you get older, one day represents an ever decreasing percentage of your life and is therefore not as significant.

Ha..! Wait'll you're as old as me if you think time flies now.
As for time itself, Einstein showed us that time and space are inter-related -- spacetime. It follows then that as space increases due to universal expansion, time must also lengthen. Imagine two galaxies today that are separated by 5-billion light years of space. That means that it would take light 5-billion years to get from one to the other. Now think ahead say 200-thousand years. At that time the two galaxies might be separated by 10-billion light years of space, so it would take 10-billion years for light to travel from one to the other. See the relationship..?

There is no way that we can even prove that the Universe is expanding. We class the end of the Universe, the furthest star away from us that is visable. For all we know, beyond the furthest star away from us is just nothing, emptyness.

According to the Theory of Relativity, the faster one moves, the slower time becomes. When you reach the speed of light, there is to time at all. If the universe is expanding at an accelerated rate, it seems to me time must be slowing down.

the answer is yes but the effects of that are so small that you would not even be able to notice a change. It is so minute.
BUT
I don't know if you want to know this, but if you go out into the universe for 100 years and came back to earth, everybody you ever knew would be dead, but you.................................you wouldn't be a day older than the day you left.
CRAZY HUH!
Do some research on the existence of time in our universe.
You will be so impressed.
