Follow-up!
I went to my doctor and he said it would heal within 6-8 weeks. The reason it hasn't healed is because of the sutures used.

Mine did not heal well either and I ended up returning to my doctor. He informed me that my pants were constantly irritating the incision and that I should switch to cotton based stretch pants that were baggy enough to let the wound breathe. But, that was me. You should see your physician and let him tell you what might be the problem.

Although I have not personally had this problem I would recommend that you check back with your surgeon because a slow healing wound can be a signal of other problems/disorders in the rest of your body. You didn't state to what extent the wound was healed/not healed but if it is still tender or red I would say to speak to your doctor immediately. There are a host of factors that could affect wound healing but its always better to be on the safe side.

i had surgery on my ovary and they went in through my belly button.
i have pretty much healed except that it is still a little red and sore. but if it hasn't healed you probably need to get it checked out.
good luck!
