I had my membrains stripped last week at 39 weeks it did nothing. I had it done yesterday at 40 weeks. I am almost 2 cm dialated and 25% thinned. Has anyone ever had this done twice and did it work. How long after?

I had it done twice my last pregnancy at 39 and 40 week checkups. She was still 7 days overdue, so it didn't work for me either. I went into labor on my own, and it actually went pretty quickly for a change. Good luck!

I had it done twice as well and it did nothing. I went two weeks overdue and then was induced. There is no guarantee on when those little critters want to come into the world.
I know you must be anxious for your new baby! Best of luck and try to enjoy these last few days.

Oh trust me, we've stripped membranes 2, 3, 4 and more times. Not the best choice. It can take acouple of times to irritate the cervixe enough to stimulate things along. Let the kid cook a little longer, it won't hurt. It'll come when it and your body are ready.

Been there twice, also, didn't work. I was induced when she was 13 days late.
