In some cases yes, however programs will often increase it very slightly. I have gotten my old dial up to go a little faster, but I'm on broadband now so it doesn't really matter to me.

Some programs have ways to open multiple connections and multi task on one connection, so it is kind of, well, working ahead of you.

But for pure internet speed it's not much of a difference. I gave them a try and it worked. So to answer your question, yes.

No! The only thing thats gonna increase is their profit by redirecting your PC to sites they are affiliated with! NEVER download that crap! If you want to increase your internet speed, the only thing that will do it is shutting down any applications that are running that access the net like messengers, weather reports, etc!

short answer no...Long answer is what ever your bandwidth is that IS all it is.Nothing can speed it up.However there are some programs that optimize your cache.but you have to visit the site several times to see a difference but only with that site.Nothing will speed up your download speed other than going to broadband...good luck
