well after reading the comments , why isnt it called humanism? and i wonder if being a feminist means your not a strong individual and need a MOB to back up your BS. and i also noticed feminism shames women who want traditional home like being a mom and house wife. Also you hear alot about unequal pay but the feminist is talking about high level jobs you never hear a feminist say they dont get paid equal in the construction site or when they are laying down cement and if there is a women out there who does construction, the feminist acts if like thats the majority , what about unequal pay for male models or porn stars the women get paid double to 3 times the amount the male gets . My conclusion is yeah Eleanor Rigby is correct it is a agenda to destroy the household

I don't think "penis" is the choice word here, maybe "male envy" is better accepted...Feminism is merely wanting equality, why is that so hard for men to accept?Personally I admire traits of both sexes
and think its time we all just agree to disagree..=)

I like questions like this for the simple fact that they flush out the knuckle dragging trolls for me. It also shows me who I shouldn't be taking seriously.
Note the "Ha ha Right!" answers. Wonderful discussion going on there. They should be proud of their intellectual prowess. Their unmatched wit! The trolls all may as well be raising their hands.
So the post does serve its purpose. ;)
EDIT : Derov : Nothing would be less interesting to me than discussing anything with you. I've seen your lack of logic in action from your other questions and answers. Not to mention your thinly veiled misogyny.
And way to bring in your engineering education, which has no relevence whatsoever, to the conversation about women's studies. That would be an "Argument from Authority", which is, as you should know, a logical fallacy. You understand what that means right? It means your logic skills are poor.
It must be hard trying to be condescending to others when you've got nothing. ;)

some women take so called feminism too far. i'm proud to be a woman, i tend to think women can do anything that a man can do (some may even surpass physical limitations), and i tend to come off slightly feminist to my boyfriend... however... i'm happy with what i have. i don't need a penis. i'm not sure what i'd do with one. pee on things perhaps?

There is ample evidence to suggest that modern day feminism, and the feminist movement, has been deliberately pushed on up by people who have an agenda of destroying the family unit, getting people to be more dependent on the State, a more compliant and easily manipulated population.
It has been made to appear as if it were a spontaneous, grassroots, bottom up movement, when there is plenty of evidence to suggest otherwise.

Now, now, I do not think it is productive to attack with such refuted nonsense. You were attacking, weren't you? I, personally despise Freud and can not for the life of me figure out why he had such a long run on pure BS!

Well, I just think feminism is a way for women who feel like they've been treated unfairly to get attention. Truthfully, as a woman, I don't see how complaining about unfairness towards us is at productive in being treated equally. We just look like a bunch of whiny children when we protest for equal salaries and stuff like that. You're not being treated equally by society if all you do is talk about trying to gain this equality. Try just going out and doing your best -- at least you won't be so frustrated all the time, and you'll get the bonus of feeling like you've done something important!
Don't talk about it; DO IT.

Your statement is correct. The 'penis' is the one word that describes all sources of male power. Feminism is merely an organized female movement attempting to gain more power.
Men are finally understanding this, and are organizing to refute it.
Any and all female power is ultimately granted by men. Women have always known this.
