What ever happened to real men like Big John Studd and Don Morraco? Guys with a healthy gut and moves to spare. Today's wrestlers suck.

I disagree "candle" - these jackasses of today with what must be shrunken testicles, shaved arms, legs and chests aren't very champ like.

Dusty Rhodes, Bob Backlund, and Harley Race - now THAT was wrasslin' for real men.

Question: Why do all these sissy "wrestlers" of today take steroids?

Answer: They don't want to have barrel chests and beer guts like Harley Race and the like? Don't get me wrong, I don't condone steroids in any profession, but seriously...look at people like Harley Race, Valentine, and George Steel, they didn't look too....great...or...champ like

Actually, I think part of the problem lies with the injuries too.

These days, wrestlers are expected to come back from torn muscles and broken necks in a matter of weeks and not months or years like most ordinary folks. And medically speaking, you just cannot do that without the judicious use of steroids, to both reduce inflammation and encourage faster muscular recovery. This is both fair and legitimate....but...

It gets messed up when people *keep on* hitting the juice after they've done the rehab, so they can get leaner and more ripped like a body-builder. And, well, that part has been an issue ever since Hulk Hogan *created* the mold for the kind of sports entertainer WWE wants to see: big, muscular and chiseled to a degree that does look better on a bodybuilder than on a combative athlete.

And when I say "messed up" up there, ok, I'm not dissing folks who are naturally muscular to begin with. I'm just saying, it's high time we admit that people are allowed to abuse the steroids and HGH for *way* too long after an injury, or even in the absence of one. Too many people have *Died* over this already (Lex Luger, "Crash" Holly, and possibly every wrestler who died of early heart failure with no other plausible explanation for it....).

Too many people have died, and too many others, women that is, have been disfigured with the "boyjaw" look that comes with using anabolic steroids. I don't need to name names but the one Diva I am thinking of definitely had that boyjaw going on, early and right up until she retired. (Hint: Redhead, hello?)

But yeah....a lot of this wouldn't be so common if people hadn't been resorting to steroid use to recover faster from serious injuries for *years* now.

Sadly today all people care about is great bodys. WWE does it, Modeling agency's do it and apearenlty so is American idol. Today in age is all about the body and less about the talent. These guys have to look good or they won't have a job. if it wasn't for steroids i doubt Christ Maqsters would have been hired.....especially since he doesn't have much talent.

I can't believe most of you guys don't know anything about steroids. There are many types of steroids...the smallest skinniest wrestlers could be taking some form of steroids, he could be taking small ammounts to rehab injuries, you don't just take them and wake up looking like batista!!!Come on do some research..my dad is on steroids he's 5'7 155 lbs. not a muscle on him.
