In Ontario we have a graduated system and age doesnt mater. My wife got her permit and could only drive with a licenced driver for 1 year. She passed G1 and for G2 could drive on her own. for another year. She failed that one and retook the test 3 weeks later. She failed that one again and this time she has a 5 year G2 time gap and must pass it at the end of it. She's 27 years old.
