So, I was reading this thread (http://philosophy-forums.com/showthread.php?t=126), when I decided to ask around and see how people elsewhere got interested in philosophy. I was first formally acquainted with it in college, and didn't really think about before then.

Was exposed to philosophy in college and it made me start thinking. As can be seen on this site- the key question is What is the meaning of life to which i do not believe anyone has produced a truly valid answer that applies to all. It does give a person a sense of his well-being and a construct to enable to live a life that is going in the right direction (whether it is religious or not, is inmaterial).

Additionally it has provided me with more knowledge on various topics from a historical basis to enable me to better express/argue my rationale for believing as i do

That book is amazing! It gets my blood boiling, still (even in my philosophical "maturity").

Maybe, it was Durant's approach to presentation?
