The only genetic disease I can think of with Blacks is sickle cell and it is actually a mutation that takes the place of a far more dangerous affliction. Even when they live in poverty, they rarely seem to have genetic issues such as progeria, etic. Enlighten me with your answer, I just want to know everything.

Every race of people have their own set of "immunities". Japanese seldom get any bone diseases...the women never get osteoporosis...ever see a hunched back Japanese?
Many races have immunities to certain diseases that are common to other races. These immunities can be due to genetics or to diet.
I think in the entire scheme of things, white people are among the sickliest and prone to the most diseases of any race. As a result, white people have done a lot in the area of medical science in researching the preventions and cures of many of them. White people brought small pox, chicken pox and measles to the Native American cultures but we have also found cures for them.
There are cultures that are stronger and more survival oriented than others but each culture learns to adapt as white people have. I wouldn't be surprised at all to find that Black people have high resistance to many diseases but it could also be true of any number of races around the world.
It would be an interesting study because if such a "protector" gene could be harvested or imitated through DNA, all humans could benefit from it. We may be very surprised by what science can discover in preventing disease.
All of this makes me more of a believer in NATURAL SELECTION. Either your mind or your body must be strong or your race and culture will grow extinct you will be replaced by a species more suited for adaption.

African Descendents not blacks, do get diseases from genetics like whites. Some of us inherit diabetes, heart disease or even prostate cancer because of genetics, so it is not only white people.
