you can try using NVU editor (www.nvu.com), it's free and wont tie you down to one method of editing. NVU pages can be transferrable to frontpage or dreamweaver html editor
SEE http://www.interkeys.com/htmleditor for more info on Premium HTML Editors (WYSIWYG)

I would use http://www.interkeys.com/tophosts to get a premium affordable cheap web host for a few bucks a month with 1000 GIGs bandwidth and rich with features

its up to you how developed a site you want and if you want to use your own domain name.

There are many programs to make a website, but there are a few that are widely used such as Notepad and Microsoft Frontpage. You could use Notepad by typing in HTML to program or Microsoft Frontpage which is way easier. If you're using HTML you have to memorize a lot of commands and symbols to get the correct settings, styles, and actions. Unlike Microsoft Frontpage, it is interactive, you can copy and paste, delete, remove pictures, type in text and make animations or dynamic effects. Frontpage is way easier.

Well I am the owner of my own site, www.lukeishere.com, and I started my career by first using simple WYSIWYG editors (what you see is what you get) such as a Myspace. I used Zoomshare (www.zoomshare.com) as my first site, then I moved on.

After that I learned HTML and used a basic HTML editor to edit it. HTML can be hard to learn but once you get it down it really helps.

If you need any help you can email me, webmaster@lukeishere.com, anytime. I'd be glad to help and can even host you if you want.

So to summarize, I would start with something simple like Zoomshare and while you have that running you can learn HTML.
