I'm a Ph.D. in Microbiology/Virology and teach Microbiology at college.

#1 (Technically this is a bad question because DNA synthesis cannot begin until proteins are made to replicate DNA).

So, it should be 3,4, 2, 1, but since that's not an option, I assume it's C: 2,3,4,1. (A, B, D, and E are definitely wrong.)

#2 C

#3 (another bad question). Viruses can break down polypeptides using their own proteases, but they can also use host cell proteases. So, A is probably the one could be right. All viruses have a protein coat (C is definitely out). Some steps of anabolism is done by viruses (using DNA or RNA replicases) while translation and transcription is done by the cell. So, my guess is probably D. But the terminology of A and B are very strange.

#4 B (finally a good virus question).

#5 C (finishing with a bang).

ok the final analysis is to get "like" denominators. 2 a million/5 + a million 8/9 = 2 9/40 5 + a million 40/40 5 =3 40 9/40 5 4 4/40 5 =========== 2 a million/3 - 4 7/9 = 2 3/9 - 4 7/9 = a million 12/9 - 4 7/9 - 3 5/9 desire that facilitates.

dude im taking microbiology right now too and you have a really effin hard teacher or something, because these problems are crazy. go to ratemyprofessors.com next time you choose your teacher do research and avoid the hard, way too detailed teachers. i want to say #1 is d #2 is c and #3 is d but not too sure
we really dont get into viruses this much in my micro class.
