If you're talking about a friend who undermines your authority or your credibility in front of other people, you need to take that person aside and ask them straight up why they're doing this, and tell them how it makes you feel. If you don't feel comfortable confronting the person right away, ask around to see if you did anything that pissed them off... Maybe you undermined *them* sometime earlier and they're trying to get back at you. But you most *definitely* should not get into some d**k-measuring contest in front of other people... not if you want to salvage this relationship, anyways. Even if you don't want this person to be your friend anymore, try to keep your public lashbacks under control cuz some unrelated person will see it and misunderstand.
