(x)(100-2x)(70-2x)

(x)(7000 -200x -140x+4x^2)

Change to standard form, combine like terms

(x)(4x^2 -340x +7000)

factor out GCF

4x(x^2 -85x +1750)
4x(x - 50)(x - 35)
x= 0, 50, 35

If there are no parentheses in the problem why are you putting them there? Read from left to right....x times 100=100x......2x times 70=140x using order of operations, multiplication comes first. Now combine terms....100x-140x-2x= -42x

x(100-2x)(70-2x)

So first you want to take whats in the parenthesis and foil it out:

x(700 -140x-200x-4x^2)

The multiply all that by the x:

700x - 340x^2 - 4x^3
