Has anyone ever experienced this or know anything about it? It just started happening today! The bottom of my tongue is peeling and feels really weird and you can see the blood vessels. Plus the top of my tongue is white, kinda spotty with cracks....

This sounds like thrush. Do you use any inhaled steroids for asthma? That would be a likely cause. If you do, rinsing your mouth out with water after using your inhaler should help prevent it in the future, but you may want to go to the doctor to see if you need an antibiotic or mouth rinse to get rid of it. Immune system deficiencies can also cause it. If you're not on any steroids, then a doctor would need to get some blood work done to see if your immune system is normal. Have you been taking some type of antibiotics? If so this could be a candida infection. (thrush) Antibiotics often kill off what is known as normal flora (the germs that normally grow in certain areas of the body). When that happens other germs have the opportunity to take over. Candida and yeast infections are pretty common with antibiotic use. If this is not the case you may have another type of infection. You really need to have it treated either way. Only a doctor can give you a prescription.

You may have thrush, a yeast infection, whatever it is you should see a Doctor, If it's an infection you'll need an antibiotic. You didn't burn your tongue on anything did you??

Brush your teeth and wash out your mouth. If the problem persists, consult your doctor.
